Quai D'Orsay No. 54
Description
Originally crafted for the French market in the 1970s, the Quai D'Orsay was reblended and relaunched by Habanos as a global brand in 2017, bringing new vitolas and redesigned packaging to a wider audience.
The No. 54 is the crown jewel of that revival. Coming in at 5 3/8" x 54 in the Edmundo Grueso vitola and made entirely from Cuban tobacco, the blend draws on premium Vuelta Abajo leaves wrapped in a silky, smooth Claro or Colorado Claro wrapper.
Expect floral notes up front that give way to rich coffee, earth, and a sweet caramel finish. Cream and vanilla carry through the first third, with the smoke evolving into fruit and grassy tones before closing with oak and coffee.
Mild to medium in strength with an 80 to 90 minute smoke time, it pairs beautifully with a morning coffee or a relaxed afternoon session and is one of the most approachable Cuban cigars on the market without sacrificing depth or character.
