Nicholas Melillo of Foundation Cigar Co. is a lifelong broadleaf devotee, and the Tabernacle line is where he shows it. The Havana Seed CT #142 is the standout wrapper story in his catalogue. It is a Havana-seed varietal cultivated in the Connecticut River Valley, so oil-rich that it demands roughly three years of fermentation before it is ready to blend. Melillo worked with growers in his home state since 2014 to develop it, and the payoff is a leaf with genuine depth.
