Storage: RH 68-71% 26C
First Third:
Expect a blast of cocoa, espresso, and earthy spice. There's a noticeable sweetness from the maduro wrapper, balanced with black pepper on the retrohale.
Second Third:
Notes of leather, toasted nuts, and cedar start to dominate. The smoke remains dense and oily, with some espresso bitterness mellowing out.
Final Third:
Bolder flavors come through — dark chocolate, earth, and a return of spice with a touch of charred wood. Strength ramps up slightly toward the nub.
Generally well-constructed for its size. Produces a long ash with a slow, even burn.
Tight draw at first due to the thick ring gauge, but opens up nicely.
Pairing Suggestions
Beverage: A bold espresso, dark rum, or a peaty scotch (like Ardbeg 10 or Lagavulin 16).
