The esteemed Crowned Heads Le Patissier cigar line is meticulously handcrafted at the NACSA factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. These exceptional cigars, now part of their regular production, are skillfully blended by Crowned Heads using the finest ingredients. Each one showcases a luscious Dark Grade A Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a binder from the fertile region of Nicaraguan Jalapa, and a carefully selected blend of long-filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. According to co-founder Jon Huber, the use of the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper on the new Le Patissier introduces a fresh and distinctive character not found in any previous Crowned Heads offerings. It imbues the cigar with a remarkable interplay of complexity, finesse, and perfect harmony.

I really enjoyed this smoke, but not as much as Le Carême. The shorter stick was more enjoyable, I found, but this one didn’t have the same development of amazing flavours as much as le Carême. This one starts a bit understated, and develops a nice deep profile of a bit of spices and white pepper, which is perhaps what I mistook about this one. It’s more about herbal baking I think, whereas Le carême is like raisins and a sweet butter tart. This one develops nicely and my favourite part was the second third, but found it grew a bit acrid for my tastes toward the end. Glad I tried a few different sticks to make sure I got a good one— very enjoyable from a spicier perspective, but not exactly what I was after. Worth trying. High quality stick, just note the difference between this and le Carême!
