Adventura The Conqueror Almirante Toro
Description
ADVentura The Conqueror Almirante Toro | Dominican Republic | 6x54
The same celebrated blend as the Comandante, now in the larger Almirante Toro format that gives the tobacco more room to open up and evolve over a longer, more rewarding smoke. Handmade at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic by founders Henderson Ventura and Marcel Knobel, the Almirante features the same Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and long fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, with the 6x54 format pushing the complexity and flavor transitions further than the robusto can manage.
Dark chocolate and salted caramel anchor the profile from light-up, with cedar, black pepper, and peanut notes weaving through a creamy, medium-bodied smoke that builds steadily through each third. The larger ring gauge slows things down and keeps the draw cool, letting the sweetness and wood notes linger on the palate and giving the blend more time to develop the layered complexity that has made The Conqueror one of ADVentura's most consistently praised releases. A smooth, well-constructed everyday toro at a price point that is hard to argue with.
