The Royal Return is ADVentura's most premium regular production line, a two-cigar series where the King's Gold and Queen's Pearl represent the gifts that explorers ADVentura and McKay brought back from their travels across the seas. The King's Gold is the bolder of the two, featuring a dark, toothy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and a filler blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and American tobaccos, all aged a minimum of five years before rolling and rested four months post-production at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic. The tobacco used for this blend is rare enough that ADVentura produces it in small batches to carefully monitor complexity and balance with each run.

The pre-light aromas of salted chocolate, honey, toast, and cinnamon set the tone for a smoke that opens with roasted espresso, cocoa, earth, and creamy leather before transitioning through wood, seasoned spice, and raisin sweetness on the retrohale. The profile builds steadily to medium-full by the final third, where roasted nuts, cinnamon, and incense-like notes close out a smoke that runs close to 90 minutes in the toro format.
