AG Cigars Ambassador
Description
Alejandro González Arias, known as Alex Glez, trained as a torcedor at El Laguito in Havana, graduating among only 3% of applicants who passed, before spending over a decade rolling at some of Cuba's most prestigious hotels and eventually leaving for Nicaragua to found AG Cigars. The Ambassador 109 is one of his most refined releases, measuring 7 x 52 and featuring an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, all handcrafted at his own factory in Nicaragua.
The smoking experience is sophisticated and medium-bodied, with floral aromas up front giving way to creamy, nutty flavors, mild spice, citrus undertones, and a touch of light woodiness. Construction is exceptional with a smooth, even burn and excellent draw throughout, the kind of cigar that reflects a blender who came up through one of the most disciplined schools of tobacco craft in the world. A standout in the boutique cigar space and well worth exploring.
