The Killer Bee Connecticut came out of Black Works Studio, the boundary-pushing sister brand to Black Label Trading Co., handcrafted by James Brown at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. The construction is immediately striking, with a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper accented by thin strips of darker Ecuadorian Maduro on the cap and foot, giving the cigar its signature bee-stripe appearance that makes it one of the most visually distinctive sticks on any shelf. Available in a single 4 1/2 x 46 petite corona format, the blend pairs that Connecticut wrapper with a Nicaraguan Habano binder and all-Nicaraguan long filler. 

James Brown described the cigar best himself: "With similar profiles to the Killer Bee, it may not be what you expect from a typical Connecticut cigar. The Connecticut wrapper gives an added creaminess and changes up the spice components quite a bit." True to that, the Killer Bee Connecticut opens with considerable pepper spice alongside well-balanced notes of oak, butter, and cinnamon, with cedar, coffee, and earth rounding out a robust medium-bodied profile that punches well above its compact size.
