Twenty years in the making, Davidoff Yamasa proves the impossible can be grown. Master blender Henke Kelner spent decades coaxing tobacco from the mineral-rich swampland of the Yamasa region in the Dominican Republic, and the result is a wrapper and binder unlike anything else in the Davidoff line. Wrapped around aged Nicaraguan long-fillers from Condega and Estelí, plus Dominican Piloto and Mejorado leaf, this Robusto delivers a wild, earthy core balanced by nutmeg, cocoa, sweet cream, and a slow build of espresso and black pepper. The Robusto size is widely considered the benchmark for the blend, striking the cleanest balance between the spicy Yamasa tobaccos and the sweeter Nicaraguan fillers.

Medium to full in body but graceful in its delivery, this is a cigar for smokers who want intensity without losing nuance. Each third reveals something new, moving from a peppery, earthy opening into a rounder middle of cocoa and cedar before finishing long and velvety. Pair it with a bold red, an aged rum, or black coffee to match its depth.
