Diamond Crown Classic No.4
Description
Diamond Crown Classic No. 4 | Double Robusto | 5.5x54
Born out of a collaboration between Stanford Newman and Carlos Fuente Sr. to celebrate J.C. Newman's 100th anniversary in 1995, Diamond Crown was built with one goal: make the best cigar in the world regardless of cost. Handmade by master rollers at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic, the No. 4 features a five-year aged, double-fermented Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler, with each cigar passing through three inspections and aged a minimum of twelve months in cedar curing rooms before release. That second fermentation on the wrapper is what sets this blend apart, eliminating any rawness and delivering the natural sweetness and creaminess Diamond Crown is celebrated for.
The smoke opens with butterscotch, peach, and brown sugar alongside earthy black coffee and light leather, developing into toasted almond and vanilla notes through the second third before closing with cedar, espresso, and lingering black pepper on a long, satisfying finish. Mild to medium in strength and silky smooth throughout, the No. 4 runs just over 90 minutes and is the kind of cigar that earns its place as a special occasion staple.
