The third act in Steve Saka's celebrated Mi Querida line, Black takes the brand's signature Connecticut Broadleaf obsession and pushes it into darker, bolder territory. A dense, oily Broadleaf wrapper wraps around a Mexican San Andrés negro binder, with fillers pulled from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua for a genuinely layered smoke. PapaSaka, named for one of Saka's own nicknames, is the more connoisseur-geared corona gorda size in the line and is considered by many to be the bolder, more complete expression of the blend.

Expect mocha, dark fruit, damp earth, and black pepper right out of the gate, with raisin, oak, molasses, and a touch of piloncillo sweetness weaving through the smoke as it develops. The profile builds real complexity through the midsection, delivering a punchy yet balanced smoke that rewards a slow burn and even earns comparisons to an album that gets better with repeat listens.
