Nick Melillo built Charter Oak for a simple reason: an everyday smoke that didn't ask you to compromise on flavor to hit a lower price. It's rolled with a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, the same tobacco Melillo grew up on in his home state, over a Sumatran binder and Nicaraguan filler pulled from Estelí and Jalapa. It's handmade at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez in Estelí, the same caliber of factory behind plenty of cigars twice the price.

The result is a medium to full-bodied smoke loaded with cocoa, leather, and sweet earth, backed by cedar and a touch of black pepper that keeps it from ever going flat.
