GL Pease Jackknife Plug Pipe Tobacco

JackKnife Plug is part of G.L. Pease’s New World Collection, which celebrates the American way of working tobacco. It’s a nod to the days when a smoker carried a plug in one pocket and a knife in the other. Greg Pease layers dark-fired Kentucky and ripe red Virginias around a centre of golden flue-cured leaf. The block is pressed and matured as a cake, then cut into a solid plug. There’s no topping or casing, just leaf that has had time to come together.

The dark-fired Kentucky brings a deep, earthy smokiness with a hint of campfire. The red Virginias add rich, ripe sweetness, and the golden core keeps it bright so it never gets heavy. How you cut it is up to you. Slice it thick and rub it out for a ribbon, shave it thin for a quick-lighting shag, or chop it into cubes for a slow, cool burn. It’s a hands-on, rewarding smoke with real strength behind it, so keep it for the evenings you want something with a little backbone.
