When Don Pepin left Cuba, he made a a promise to his family that he would make a name for himself in the premium cigar business. Hence the name La Promesa, and the cigar blend itself delivered. 

It features an Ecuador Habano wrapper on top of filler and binder tobacco that is exclusively grown at the Garcia farm in Nicaragua.
