Omar Ortez Original Toro

For the price point it’s hard to beat the quality. Good burn and a nice flavour profile. I purchased this and the maduro together to sample. I had the maduro last night and of the two, I preferred the maduro more for its chocolate notes. This is still an excellent cigar and as a previous review noted, a hidden gem. I would recommend both this cigar and the maduro to try.

Bold yet balanced, with black pepper and roasted grain in the first third, cocoa and cedar in the middle, and a consistent toasted nut-shell flavor throughout. Draw and construction are excellent — ash held over 5cm, and minor canoeing corrected itself naturally.
Still smooth through the nose even in the final third.
At $13.99, this is a true hidden gem. Great with bourbon.
