Peterson Christmas 2026 Deluxe System Pipe XL5

Peterson has released a Christmas pipe every year since 2009, and the 2026 edition makes a big change by moving to Deluxe System construction for the first time. Every pipe in this year’s series is fully rusticated and finished in a rich, warm stain with hints of burgundy and plum. It’s paired with the polished copper accents Peterson has made a holiday tradition since 2018. Underneath, it works the same way every System pipe does, with a moisture reservoir in the shank and a graduated bore for a smooth draw. The classic P-Lip bit sends smoke up and away from the tongue, which keeps the smoke cool and dry.

This is the XL5, a larger take on Peterson’s well-known bent calabash. It has a tall, flared bowl that holds a generous fill, and the deep bend lets the pipe sit comfortably in the hand or rest easily when clenched. The craggy rustication gives it plenty of grip, and the copper ferrule stands out against the dark finish. It’s made in Ireland in limited numbers each year, and it would make a great Christmas gift for the pipe smoker in your life, or for yourself.
