Seattle Pipe Club Rainier Levant Pipe Tobacco

Rainier Levant is Seattle Pipe Club’s tribute to a lost classic. Blender Joe Lankford loved Levant Mixture from the legendary Drucquer & Sons and missed it so much that he created his own version. The result is a rich, aromatic Balkan-style blend of tangy red Virginia, earthy and spicy Turkish Orientals, and plenty of Cyprian Latakia. It’s made by Sutliff Tobacco Company, cut into easy-to-pack ribbons, and contains no topping.

The Latakia gives the smoke a deep, smoky base without overpowering the rest of the blend. The Orientals add a fragrant, slightly sweet spice, and the red Virginias bring a bright tang that keeps each bowl lively. It’s medium-bodied, smooth, and well balanced, so it suits a longtime Balkan smoker looking for an old favourite or a newer smoker ready to explore beyond the basics.
